Surrey Community Development Trust celebrated the official opening of a new housing project on Tuesday 8th March 2011 with a visit by HRH The Countess of Wessex.
The Countess, who is the Royal Patron of Surrey Community Development Trust, visited the charity’s newest housing project on Kingston Road in Staines. She took a tour of the property, which provides supported accommodation for eight vulnerable people, and met some of the residents.
This visit was followed by a royal reception at Spelthorne Borough Council’s offices, where the Countess was introduced to SCDT staff, clients, partners and supporters. She unveiled a plaque to celebrate the official opening of the property.
